PSG or EDGE? Singapore SME grants for new and ongoing projects
Check whether you have a proposed purchase or an actual ongoing grant submission or project before relying on an old PSG quote, workshop slide or supplier badge.

Start with these checks
- The session uses the current official scheme and distinguishes new from ongoing work
- The intended project and applicable activity are identifiable
- Supplier demonstrations and programme decisions are kept separate
The problem
A Singapore SME has an older PSG-labelled quotation or attends a grant workshop, but cannot tell whether the old scheme still accepts a new application or whether its own work qualifies as an ongoing project.
Start with the current scheme, then your project
Enterprise Singapore says EDG, MRA and PSG ceased on September 29, 2026, with new business grant support under EDGE from September 30, 2026. It separately says ongoing submissions or projects under those earlier schemes continue to be processed. An old PSG quotation alone does not establish that you have an ongoing submission or project. First identify the actual project and its recorded state, then follow the applicable current official route. This guide helps you sort that question; it does not decide your eligibility, approve a supplier or transfer a project between schemes.

Read the current notice before the older application steps
The PSG page still contains detailed programme, quotation, application and claim information below its closure notice. Those retained steps can matter to an actual ongoing case, but reading them alone can make the page look like an open route for a new applicant. Keep the closure notice beside the detail you use. An older workshop slide or supplier presentation may explain what applied when it was produced; ask which current scheme and project state its instructions address. Do not treat a familiar programme name, pre-approved solution label or earlier percentage as an award for a new purchase. Use the live official scheme page rather than choosing whichever part of an old pack appears most favourable.

Make a project-route card from records you actually have
Use six fields: the work or activity you want to carry out; the scheme named in your material; the current official scheme notice; the actual submission or project record, if any; the next official route; and the unanswered condition. Keep real application references and business documents private. If you have only a quotation and no submitted application, write that state plainly. If a submission exists, identify the scheme and project it actually concerns rather than assuming another proposed purchase belongs to it. Where the records are unclear, ask EnterpriseSG about that specific case through its official assistance route. A supplier saying that something is grant-supported does not fill a missing application record.
Keep the grant stages separate from the purchase
Record quotation, application submitted, award received, offer accepted, activity completed and claim outcome separately when they apply. The retained PSG instructions distinguish a direct quotation from an application and say that an awarded grant produces a Letter of Offer with its conditions, qualifying period and approved equipment or solution. This explains why a quote cannot stand in for an award; it is not a new PSG application walkthrough. For new work, read the current EDGE activity and its own applicable conditions. Do not carry an old payment rule, qualifying period or supplier package into a different scheme without current official support. If a consequential purchase depends on an unanswered grant condition, resolve that condition before relying on the funding in your plan.

Compare three fictional situations
These businesses, documents and projects are invented. Business A has a PSG-labelled software quote but has never submitted an application. The quote does not establish an ongoing old-scheme case; A needs the current route for its proposed activity. Business B has an actual ongoing PSG submission and wants to know what its own project must provide at claim time. B follows that existing case and its applicable conditions rather than treating a new-scheme overview as an amendment. Business C has an ongoing old-scheme project and also wants a different new activity. C makes two project-route cards: the first record does not automatically cover the second purchase. These distinctions identify the right question; none decides an award, support rate or whether a changed scope is accepted.
Separate reimbursement from cash available now
The EDGE overview says support is disbursed on a reimbursement basis and that claims can be submitted once the activity is completed and full payment has been made. An overview of that sequence is not money already available for an initial supplier payment, an approved claim or a promised payment date. The page also says support levels differ by activity, so do not budget from the largest headline percentage alone. Put the actual quotation, payment commitments, support decision and claim conditions on separate lines. If you cannot establish the applicable amount or timing, retain that uncertainty rather than counting a hoped-for reimbursement as cash on hand. This article gives no financing recommendation or assessment of your business finances.

Choose a workshop for the question it can answer
Before booking a business-grant session, read which scheme, activity and participant task it addresses. A software demonstration can show how a product works while leaving the company’s grant route unanswered. A general grant briefing can explain a process while leaving your actual submission unchanged. Ask whether the session covers new EDGE work, ongoing earlier-scheme cases or both, and whether it has time for the relevant question. Bring a fictional route card for a public exercise; share actual company material only through an authorised appropriate channel. The existing SME workflow and marketing-package guides help evaluate the product and included work. Those checks remain useful even when funding is uncertain.
Finish with the applicable next step
An unsent question could be: “I have [a quotation, an actual submission or an ongoing project] for [the relevant activity]. The material names [scheme]. Does the current new-project route or the existing case process apply to this particular work, and where should I check [the unresolved condition]?” Keep the actual answer with the project it covers. The EDGE page links to BizSG’s recommender and an adviser route; the PSG page provides EnterpriseSG assistance and directs ongoing claims to BGP. Follow those official links rather than a third party promising approval. Use Boardzip’s free business-event search to find relevant learning after defining the question. Search does not submit an application, establish eligibility or reserve a workshop place.

Questions and answers
Can I still make a new PSG application using an older quote?
EnterpriseSG says PSG ceased on September 29, 2026, and directs new business grant support to EDGE from September 30, 2026. An older quote does not establish an ongoing submission or project. Check the current route for the actual proposed activity.
Does PSG closure mean an existing submission is automatically cancelled?
The official pages say ongoing EDG, MRA and PSG submissions or projects continue to be processed. Follow the actual case and its applicable conditions; this does not decide whether any particular submission will be approved.
Does a pre-approved solution badge mean my company has a grant?
A solution label and supplier quote are different from an application and award. Identify the current applicable scheme and your actual project record. Do not treat a badge, workshop attendance or supplier assurance as a funding decision.
Can an ongoing PSG project cover another new purchase?
Keep the actual project and the different proposed activity separate. An existing case does not establish acceptance of a new purchase or changed scope. Ask the responsible official route which current process applies to the particular work.
Does reimbursement mean the grant will pay the supplier first?
The EDGE overview says claims can be submitted after the activity is completed and full payment made. That sequence is not cash already available or an approved claim. Check the actual activity, award and claim conditions before relying on amount or timing.
Do I need to attend a workshop to resolve the route?
A suitable workshop may explain the process, but an actual case question belongs with the applicable official source and support route. Use the project-route card directly when it clarifies the issue; attendance does not create eligibility or an award.
