The deal, in plain words.

Boardzip runs one decision loop around a board meeting. The operator names one hard choice. Each director can share one private view. The meeting uses those independent views and ends with one living record of what the operator decided.

Later, the product brings that card back beside what really happened, so the board can see whether the choice worked.

This matters more than anything else on this page, so it is spelled out.

• It is not legal minutes. A Boardzip record says what the named operator decided after board input.
• It is not a formal vote. Nothing here counts votes, carries a motion, or passes a resolution.
• It is not a record of company consent or sign-off, and it is not evidence that one was given.
• A director’s private view or later reply is advice. It is not a vote or approval.
• It is not advice. Nothing the product shows you is legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice.

A Boardzip decision is an operating record. It is not a formal vote, approval, or legal minutes.

• You must be 18 or older, and able to enter a contract where you live.
• You must have the right to act for the company whose name you put on the account.
• Keep your sign-in to yourself. Tell us quickly if you think someone else has it.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You choose who belongs on the board, and you type their email addresses. We send a private link to each address you give us. We cannot check that an address belongs to the person you meant.

• Check every address before you send. A wrong letter sends board material to a stranger.
• Invite only people who are entitled to see the decision and the pack behind it.
• Tell the people you invite what the product does with what they write. Our privacy page is written for them too.
• You control access to the board pack itself. We only hold the link.
• If someone should no longer have access, remove them from the board. Their unused links and board access stop working; the historical record remains.

Do not use Boardzip to:

• break the law, or help someone else break it
• post material you have no right to share
• harass, threaten, or abuse another person
• try to reach another company’s meetings, or another person’s link
• probe, scan, or load-test the service without written permission from us
• scrape the service, or resell access to it
• send bulk email or marketing through our sending

We may suspend an account that does any of these, or that puts other customers at risk. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

The decision questions, private views, decision records, outcomes, and replies belong to your company. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store that material, show it to the people you invited, and email it to them.

We never use it to train a model, because there is no model in this product. You can export or delete your material at any time.

Boardzip is young. It is offered as it is, and as it happens to be available on the day you use it. We do not promise that it will be free of faults, that it will be up at any given moment, or that it will fit any particular purpose of yours.

• Features may change, and some may be removed.
• There may be downtime, including downtime without notice.
• Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.
• Where the law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, this section does not touch them.

We take reasonable care. Even so, we are a small operation, and the limits below are part of the price of an early product.

• We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost data, or any indirect or knock-on loss.
• We are not liable for a decision your board makes, or for what follows from it. The board decides, not the software.
• Our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing.
• Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything the law says cannot be limited.

You can stop at any time. Remove one meeting from its Meeting options, or remove the whole company from Settings. Deletion removes the material as described on our privacy page.

We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we close the service itself, we will give you notice and time to take your material out.

We may change these terms as the product grows. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change matters to you, we email the account holder before it starts. Carrying on after that date means you accept the new version.

We have not named a governing law or a court for these terms yet. Until we do, nothing here asks you to give up a right you would otherwise have where you live, and any dispute is decided wherever the law says it should be.
