Climb Central Singapore: check which linked multi-pass set your visit uses
A friend’s offer to share an entry pass and the provider’s account deduction are separate records; inspect eligible products, expiry order and the actual account link before your next visit.

Start with these checks
- The actual pass product permits the proposed sharing arrangement
- Account links and usable balances are checked through the provider’s authorised route
- The provider’s deduction order and any unresolved priority are understood before entry
The problem
After a first Singapore climbing visit you hold your own prepaid entry passes and a friend offers to share a regular multi-pass for the next outing, but linked accounts may use a different eligible pass set from the one you both intended.
Identify the exact product before agreeing to share
Write the product name from each person’s actual account or receipt, not simply “three climbs” or “my membership.” Climb Central’s rates page labels First Timer Multi Pass non-shareable and regular Multi Pass shareable, while retaining no-transfer terms. Sharing an eligible entry use does not mean transferring the bundle or signing into its owner’s account. Do not apply a general linking description to an excluded product. If the label on your receipt is shortened or unfamiliar, ask the provider whether that particular balance may enter the arrangement. Your friend’s offer is useful only after you know which product they offer and what you yourself hold; a promotional screenshot does not establish either balance.

Separate the offer from the account link
Use three columns: what your friend intends to contribute; the actual products and account link; and what the provider confirms will happen at check-in. A promise to use one of their passes belongs in the first column. The rates terms require the pass holder at the counter for sharing unless accounts are linked; the FAQ describes linking for customers with active passes and use without the original holder present. Confirm the arrangement for your actual accounts before expecting a friend’s absence to work. Keep everyone on their own authorised account. Linking is a standing account relationship to inspect, rather than a private conversation deciding which balance will be deducted on one visit.

Read the provider’s multiple-set ordering answer
Climb Central’s FAQ says a person linked to multiple pass sets cannot choose which set is used: passes expiring first are used. It also tells a person wanting their own instead of earlier-expiring linked passes to request unlinking, through the counters. The same page uses First In First Out for general consumption order. Do not invent how equal-expiry sets or a product-specific exception are prioritised from those labels. Ask the counter which applicable set would be consumed in the actual arrangement if that matters to your decision. An agreement between friends does not establish an account override, and this guide does not promise one.

Prepare a private pass-set comparison
For each applicable set, record its owner, exact product, usable balance, stated expiry, current link status and the source of that information. Add your intended contribution beside the row rather than overwriting the provider’s rule with it. Use information each person is authorised and willing to supply; a public climbing chat does not need account screenshots, login details or the full account history. Leave a missing balance or expiry unknown. In a wholly fictional comparison, your eligible set expires on 20 October and your friend’s eligible linked set on 10 November. If the provider’s stated earlier-expiry rule applies, your set comes first despite the friend’s intention to sponsor this visit. These invented dates establish no real account validity or entitlement.
Resolve an unwanted link before relying on the visit
If the comparison does not fit your intention, take the exact product and link question to the provider before entry is processed. Ask what arrangement is permitted, whether an account link must be changed and what confirms the change. Follow its authorised process; a message sent to a friend does not itself alter the account. Do not delete account information, share credentials or assume you can select another set after check-in. When expiry is equal or the pass type is excluded, retain that unresolved point instead of declaring a deduction order. If a usable arrangement cannot be established, compare another confirmed entry plan and its actual cost rather than treating the visit as already covered.
Keep the entry deduction separate from the lesson
For a taught outing, maintain two records: the participant’s confirmed class or host arrangement, and the entry-pass arrangement that covers facility admission. Record rentals or other required components separately where the actual product requires them. Use the access-versus-class-credit guide to check whether teaching is booked separately from facility entry. A linked entry balance does not create a class booking. Likewise, a paid or shared pass does not complete a briefing, assess competence or permit another wall. Choose the instruction and provider requirements for your real experience first, then decide how that confirmed visit is funded. A friend covering entry can be generous without supplying the learning you still need.
Reconcile the actual visit with the intended contribution
Before check-in, confirm the applicable pass arrangement with staff and keep the answer with the private comparison. After the visit, inspect the authorised account record for the actual deduction and compare it with the entry you expected. If a different balance appears to have been used, ask the provider to explain the transaction using its reference; this guide does not establish a reversal or a reimbursement between friends. Keep any personal repayment agreement separate from the provider’s account entry and do not count an intended gift as a received entry use. For the next outing, use Boardzip’s free climbing search to find a suitable current format, then check its own booking and facility terms. Search access is free; linked prepaid passes remain a paid product whose use requires the actual eligible arrangement.
Questions and answers
Can we choose my friend’s pass set just by agreeing between ourselves?
Keep your intended contribution separate from the provider’s deduction rule. Climb Central’s multiple-linked-set FAQ says the earliest-expiring set is used without a set choice; ask staff about your actual eligible products before check-in.
Can I share a First Timer Multi Pass like a regular bundle?
The rates page specifically labels First Timer Multi Pass non-shareable. Do not remove that exclusion by applying the generic linking description. Ask about the exact product rather than treating every prepaid balance as shareable.
What if the two sets have the same expiry?
The wording cited here does not settle the tie. Give the provider the applicable products and ask which would be consumed. Do not assume purchase order, account owner or your friend’s offer supplies the missing priority.
Does linking mean I can use my friend’s login?
Use your own authorised account and the provider’s permitted sharing arrangement. Linking and ownership transfer are different questions. You do not need a friend’s password or authentication codes to clarify what their offer covers.
Does an entry pass reserve a beginner lesson?
Check instruction and participant booking separately from the facility-entry arrangement. Use the first-session and access-versus-class-credit guides for that decision; this pass-set record does not allocate an instructor or assess your level.
Will the provider reverse a deduction from the wrong intended set?
No reversal is established by the cited wording. Ask staff to explain the actual transaction and any applicable option. Keep the provider’s answer separate from your own agreement about which person meant to pay.
