Singapore AI workshops: choosing process checks or technical testing
Choose the session that addresses missing governance evidence or an unmeasured model failure.

Start with these checks
- Process-check or technical-test scope stated
- Worked example includes the application boundary
- Prerequisites and reporting output described
The problem
Your Singapore team has been asked to show that its AI application is responsible, but you cannot tell whether an advertised workshop helps document decisions or measure how the application behaves.
Write down the missing evidence
Start with the question your team cannot currently answer. It might be who approves a deployment, what users are told, or how often the application gives an unsupported answer. Those questions need different exercises. Bring one clearly stated gap to a Singapore workshop rather than treating every responsible-AI title as a complete assessment.
Read what participants actually do
The AI Verify framework distinguishes process checks from complementary technical testing. Look at the advertised activity: completing a checklist and discussing ownership is different from running a test dataset. A useful programme should say which work participants perform, what they need beforehand and what evidence they can take away.

Ask where the application boundary sits
A model demonstration may leave out retrieval, user permissions and the action taken after an answer. Ask whether examples test an isolated model or a complete application. Then compare that scope with your own gap. You need not disclose a production system; a small invented workflow is enough to discuss where a test begins and ends.
Keep the two outputs separate
After the session, record what you documented and what you measured in separate notes. For a process decision, identify its owner and supporting record. For a technical result, retain the input set, system version and limitations. Attendance itself supplies neither of those outputs, and a workshop certificate does not establish that your application is ready to deploy.
Questions and answers
Does a completed checklist prove that the model is reliable?
No. A checklist can document practices and decisions; a reliability question needs evidence about the system behaviour and the scope of the test.
Should I choose the session with the most advanced tool?
Choose the activity that addresses your missing evidence and that you can carry out with the stated prerequisites. A tool demonstration may be useful without answering your present question.
