Singapore swimming classes: check whether the fifth weekly date is taught
A fixed weekly time and a monthly plan do not always mean a class on every calendar occurrence.

Start with these checks
- The terms for the exact monthly, private or term-course format
- An actual calendar naming taught and omitted dates
- The provider’s explanation of any instructor-approved change
The problem
You are arranging adult swimming lessons in Singapore and see a fixed weekly time, but a month with five occurrences of that weekday may not include five taught sessions.
Identify the class format before counting dates
Singapore Swimming Academy’s adult monthly-group terms specify four lessons in months with five weeks and a fifth-week break unless the instructor changes it. Its per-course adult format is described separately. A recurring weekday is therefore not enough to calculate attendance; use the conditions applying to the actual booking rather than another product on the same site.

Compare the provider’s different calendars
Swimwerks says private classes have four lessons monthly and its dedicated fifth-week section excludes that week. Its condo-group terms include fifth-week dates. For Nordcom groups, the same page contains inconsistent wording: a general paragraph excludes the fifth week, while its top-up wording and dedicated fifth-week section describe lessons in that week. Ask the school for the selected class’s dated calendar and any actual extra charge before counting the lessons. These are provider and product distinctions, not one Singapore swimming rule.

Request a dated list before arranging the month
Ask the instructor or office which dates will be taught, omitted or changed in the coming month. Use that list for work, travel and other bookings. Do not treat a fifth occurrence as an extra lesson owed merely because it appears on a general timetable, or assume an omitted week has been cancelled at the last minute.
Use the calendar in the course comparison
A monthly fee, a term package and a fixed-length course can describe different sequences of lessons. Boardzip’s free event search can help find beginner swimming instruction, but confirm the provider’s actual teaching calendar before committing. Keep the dated plan beside the selected class terms so a calendar assumption does not become an unnecessary trip to the pool.
Questions and answers
Does a fixed Tuesday class always run on the fifth Tuesday?
Not under every product. The cited adult monthly-group terms and private-class example exclude a fifth week, while other group formats can include it. Ask for the actual calendar of your selected class.
Should I use another student’s calendar from the same swim school?
Only if the provider confirms it is the same applicable format and schedule. The cited pages distinguish class types, so a different student’s group calendar may not describe your private or monthly course.
